Marcus Aurelius has been a long time friend, advisor, and steward of the Thrawn family. He crossed paths with Count Maximus Thrawn when he was assigned to his legion to put down an uprising on the Northeastern Sunfall Plains. He served admirably and was asked to become an advisor to the Count even though he was not of noble birth. Ever since that time he has been connected with the Thrawn family and has become the family’s unofficial historian. Marcus was chose by Maximus to safe guard the family’s Sword of Elysium after a quarrel between brothers led to bloodshed. Maximus left the sword to Marcus after his death with the instructions of giving it to a Thrawn that would do the family proud. He has recently become the mentor of Tiberious Thrawn, oldest son of Count Augustus Thrawn, and has given Tiberious the sword of Elysium. Marcus Aurelius is currently the steward and caretaker of Count Tiberious Thrawn’s estate, Palantine Hill, while he is away.
